A musical instrument is simply a voice for musical ideas. It can in and of itself inspire music in the way that the voice of a diva moves the songsmith. The beauty of nature's materials and the work of the craftsman combine with the musician in an alchemical event. As in all meetings, the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. As in guitars, the hole is greater than some of the parts.

I hope this site will be of interest to fellow luthiers and musicians. And other species.....
