Archtop

This new Archtop is one of Andy's most recent designs, and is now a mainstay in his range of instruments.

This is only the second guitar of this shape and style. And both guitars have been very well received. With this particular guitar being featured in Guitarist magazine recently.

It has an Arch top for that typical attack, with a flat back for the open harmonic feast which goes with that. The back and sides are 100 year old reclaimed Cuban mahogany for real lightness, and airiness.

To quote Andy on his new guitar  - "It's the sound I have been looking for for years. Such a wide variety of tones depending on the playing style "

Bluebird

Andy has just finished this beautiful new Bluebird. The woods used by Andy are hand selected to be the most suited for the particular instrument. This guitar is built with a Spruce top with Cherry back and sides and Cherry binding.

It features shimmering, elegantly subtle black pearl purfling around the top, and an inlaid pearl Manson headstock logo. This guitar has an ebony fingerboard and head veneer.

The Bluebird model is designed for more intimate playing. It has plenty of volume but a more refined tone of a smaller guitar. They are built lightly and very sensitive to the players touch. The Cherry back and sides on this example deliver a very even picking tone.

The finish is hand rubbed organic oil, with a tuff wood wax final coat. This style of finish lets the wood resonate freely but provides good protection from moisture and impurities. It is Andy's preferred finish for optimum acoustic performance.

Seth Baccus DC 390 Met Blk

This stunning new Seth Baccus electric is now available.

The guitar features a one piece alder body with a lightly figured maple neck and a 100 year old Indian rosewood fingerboard. The pickups are Bare Knuckle Super Massive P90's and the guitar has a series / parallel blend pot for a huge range of singlecoil and humbucker tones. Wilkinson tremolo and all CTS pots with a CRL 5 way switch. Machine heads are the Gotoh 510 hap. The nut is made by Earvana.

This guitar is so lively and responsive, a real bell like tone with power. Medium Jumbo frets and a 12' finger board radius on a hand rubbed oil finished neck make it very sleek to play.

Here is what Bare Knuckle say about the Super Massive P90's

" Take a classic P90 design; add a totally modern edge with extra output and a richer tone and you arrive at the ultra progressive Supermassive 90.

The  Super Massive  is designed for the modern rock guitarist wanting the fat, raw tone of a P90 with a strong voice and more output capable of really driving an amp and complex FX combinations. "

News

Welcome to the all new website,

We hope you enjoy it.

Things are busy in the workshop as ever.

I have just completed a very rewarding build of a parlour guitar for a customer based in California.

It is based on my own 1840 Louis Panormo but built for steel strings.

You can see photo's in the parlour section or the whole build on our facebook page.

I have also started work on a trip down memory lane.

1975 revisited.

I am building a new triple neck guitar based on the original Led Zeppelin guitar I built for John Paul Jones.

I really wanted to see how I would approach the project after all these years, with all the knowledge I have gained.

I am aiming to get the best possible acoustic performance from all three instruments.

It is a challenging, enjoyable build so far. You can follow the build process as it evolves on our facebook page.

Seth has just finished a beautiful new Baritone guitar for Jas Morris from Rude Tiger.

It features a light weight Swamp Ash body and Bare Knuckle pick ups.

The tone is astounding, the Ash adds a chiming quality to the treble, balanced perfectly with the bass provided by the long string length and drop tuning.

You can see more pictures here and you can check out Rude tiger using Seth's guitars here
